Enquiries from new members
We are always keen to welcome new members. Please get in touch with us via email or phone, we’ll make an appointment to show you around. We look forward to hearing from you!
Children are welcome to attend the Orchestra with no obligation. We have a large selection of instruments of different sizes, and there is no need to buy an instrument to get involved. Our Beginner groups involve individual or group tuition on a Saturday morning, lasting between 20 minutes to one hour (depending on the instrument).
More experienced players are also always welcome. We will work with you to assess which section would be most appropriate for you to join.
Fee structure
Our usual fees:
The cost is £42 per term for members of our beginner groups, and £73 per term for members attending the full morning. We are fully inclusive and want children to have the opportunity to play music regardless of their economic circumstances; please speak to us confidentially regarding reduced fees.
We have a range of instruments which beginners can use for free, to see if they like playing a particular instrument before deciding whether to hire or buy one themselves. We may be able to assist with hiring instruments, subject to availability – please speak to a member of the Committee.
If you would like to make a donation to help support the orchestra, then please contact us for bank details.
