Carlie Ward – Strings Tutor
My name is Carlie Ward. I have had the privilege of teaching beginner strings at Warrington Youth Orchestra for several years. I enjoy supporting pupils who have potentially never played a string instrument to prepare them for the next group which has pupils from grade one standard. The organisation is close to my heart as I was a pupil at WYO from a young age. I really enjoy teaching beginner strings and supporting the other string sections across the groups as and when needed.
I teach with Accent Music Education Service within schools across Warrington and I enjoy teaching privately to various ages and abilities. I graduated from LIPA (Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts) in 2006. Since then I have worked with and performed with various musicians and run many workshops with children and adults with learning difficulties and additional needs. When I’m not teaching or playing, I enjoy spending time with my family and walking my dog.
